Nicolai has spent his career in top-tier strategy consulting and M&A advisory services. The last 13 years as Partner with a focus on growth, M&A and value creation in Private Equity owned portfolios. Specialized in Telecom, Media & Entertainment, Retail and Consumer goods as well as tech-enabled B2B businesses.
Today, Nicolai serves as transaction and business development advisor to private equity funds and large corporate players in the Nordics. Throughout his career, Nicolai has focused on due diligence and value enhancing operational improvement programs as well as serving TMT corporate clients on their strategic decisions – often having to navigate in a turmoil of new technology affecting the industry. Nicolai started his career in PwC and spent another 12 years with QVARTZ, incl. 5 years building the Norwegian Office.
Nicolai is a pragmatic strategist with strong problem-solving and process skills. He has taking lead on building new investor related services, and instrumental as the lead financial advisor of +200 MDKK transaction that was closed in 2017. Nicolai has been active as co-investor in several growth-stage businesses and on advisory boards for private equity firms in Denmark and Norway.
